Biblioteca Pública Ruiz Egea
6 Calle de Raimundo Fernández Villaverde
About
Biblioteca Pública Ruiz Egea is a small public library in Madrid's Chamberí district. Despite its name, it functions more as a media and newspaper centre than a traditional library, with minimal books but a notable collection of CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs. The space is a single room with limited seating. Spanish newspapers are available. The library is wheelchair accessible with an elevator and toilets.
The library is not designed for studying or laptop work. There is one table with four seats reserved for newspaper reading only; visitors seeking to study are offered chairs without tables or directed elsewhere. Noise is a concern, and the seating arrangement does not suit working.
